This follows a recent survey which found that the majority of Canadians are against violence in hockey. Albeit a slim majority, but are pro-violence goons slowly becoming a thing of the past?

The participants in a seminar in London, Ontario on violence in hockey seem to think so. This is a great example of Social Norms. People think players won't want to play hockey without violence, but they more than likely would keep playing regardless, for the love of hockey.

Maybe not.
