Polarizing Polytechnique

The first act of Tuesday's CBC Radio Q Podcast, Jian Ghomeshi interviews Polytechnique's Director Denis Villeneuve.

The English version of the film will be released next week and you can be certain that will be reviewing it, so I will leave any criticism until then. If I can get my hands on the French version, I would watch that as well. But I get the feeling it's the black and white, Canadian version of Elephant (a simplistic comparison I know).

You can read Mark Steyn's review of the film, the premise of which is flimsy at best without taking into account that twenty years ago, pre-911, pre-Columbine pre-hostages-should-fight-back-at-all-costs, the mentality was different, right or wrong.
