Be Involved This Fathers' Day
Sunday is Father's Day. White Ribbon Campaign is committed to promoting the positive influences fathers and father figures can have on children. By promoting gender equality and teaching the boys in their lives about healthy equal relationships helps fathers do their part in creating healthy families and strengthening family bonds.
WRC and our partners have provided the tools any father needs to get involved, teach their children and promote positive role models in their communities.
It Starts With You, It Stays With Him.

Happy Fathers' Day
As you all know Fathers' Day is this Sunday.
We'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate all the fathers that are positive role models in their children's lives, promote gender equity and sustain healthy relationships in their households.
White Ribbon Campaign has two great ways to honour your father this year: by supporting our work with a generous donation, and by helping to promote gender equity and healthy relationships through our itstartswithyou.ca program.
Father's Day is a perfect opportunity to express your feelings and appreciation to Dad for always being there for you; and for being a father who cared enough to provide for you, to care for you and for being a remarkable role model.
Say thanks to Dad by giving a gift in his honour to the White Ribbon Campaign. Honour him and his commitment to being a good father by helping the White Ribbon Campaign end violence toward women and girls.
A gift in his honour or memory will help educate young people especially young men and boys about gender equity, healthy relationships, and respect. Values your father instilled in you. Please click here to donate.
Globalsister.org posted a great article on their blog that I feel mirrors our feelings on the matter of men's involvement in gender equity::
So this Fathers' Day we'd also like to promote fathers' roles in their families' lives by asking you to take some time to visit our website itstartswithyou.ca, a great resource not only for fathers, but for coaches and community leaders, family members and educators. You can find information on how to be actively involved, promoting gender equity and healthy relationships, not only in your family but in your community.
Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there.

It is sometimes difficult, or at least less popular, to see that men are critical to achieving our goals. If, as we have so often stated, women account for half of the population and hold up half the sky, we must acknowledge, engage, and accept men as our partners: they are the other half of the population; they hold up the other half of the sky. The truth is that women—and men—are becoming more cognizant of the importance of educating men and boys about gender equality and the many issues that face women and girls in societies around the world.Emphasis is mine.
