Khartoum Open-Mic Night: White Ribbon Campaign

We were contacted recently by Sulafa Khalid who wanted to let us know about a youth social movement in Khartoum revolving around an open-mic night.

From the facebookgroup:
Open Mic nights have been created to provide Sudanese and non-Sudanese a venue for free self-expression; own poetry, recitals, songs, reading from a favorite book, Spoken word, favourite quotes/speeches or just listen and enjoy the positive spirits.
On Friday, March 19th. The theme is Peace and Poems: Speak out for Women and Girls which will also include the launch of a local White Ribbon Campaign.

More details to come.
